My Kind of Kid!

Meet Michael Guggenheim, a 12 year-old boy who started a non-profit group to give laptops to disadvantaged kids.

You probably would not think it from the picture, but Michael suffers from dysgraphia. Dysgraphia is a rare learning difference that effects an individual’s ability to write. For Michael, the simple task of writing his own is excruciatingly painful. Fortunately, he has found a tool to overcome the challenges he faces.

Michael’s story does not end there. Wanting to share the joy Michael finds in technology, he gathers donated laptops and volunteers his time to teach kids who are less fortunate how to write, work and play using the computers.

When asked why he volunteers, Michael explained, “It’s not all about me in this world, it’s really about these other children.”

WOW!
